OK, so my title is definitely tongue in cheek. I realize that what I am going to talk about today is frivolous, but the heck with it, I'm telling you about it anyway.
My mother and I were on the same page for a specific detail of the wedding: the chairs. More specifically, we weren't big on the naked banquet chairs. Some people don't notice chairs, but we both have noticed them at every wedding we've ever been to. I thought the pictures came out cuter with a covered chair. My mother, however, was somehow convinced that the heavens would open up and a deity with a trident would scourge the bride who allowed her guests to sit on a naked chair.
So, we agreed on something. It was important to both of us to have chairs with slip covers provided to us at the low, low price of $6.00 per chair (insert sarcasm).

I Think Bowie's Cool
$30 to anyone who knows what song my title came from without googling it. OK, actually, a few people may get it and I don't want to give multiple people $30. So, I retract the previous statement. Major kudos to anyone who knows what song my title came from without googling it!
Music is very important to both Mr. Biscuit and me. I like to think we have eclectic music tastes, but really, quite a few members of the hive have our same love of indie and 80s music. We can still pretend we're individuals with our music tastes though.

That Little Kick in the Pants I Needed.
Hive, wedding planning can be freaking stressful sometimes. When combined with the stress I have put on me with school and other commitments, I sometimes fall into a great funk that no amount of cute pet photos can surmount. Oh, and I'm currently battling the flu virus, so that's not helping anything.
I don't want to sugarcoat anything. This stress, along with the stresses Mr. B's life brings to the table, added to the stress of attempting to combine both finances and tangible stuff into one home at times snowballs into this crazy stress ball that constantly follows me. And sometimes, if I don't run away fast enough from that ball, I get run over.

Eating My Words...and My Guest List
I've talked before about how I'm having children at my wedding. I like kids, kids are cute as well as very prevalent in my family. One of my cousins alone has five under the age of 8.
For the most part, I've been quite happy with my decision. It gets further solidified when I see cute pictures like this:

I've Got a Secret.
and that secret is...
*wait for it*
...I don't have a budget for the wedding.
OK, now that you all officially think I'm nutzo, I will elaborate with a delightful backstory.
I remember looking at my college acceptances almost 8 years ago (wow, that's a long time!). I was that crazy girl who applied to 13 schools. While I didn't get into every school I applied to, I got into enough and had to do some thinking. My parents, however, felt the choice was clear.

The Ring: Part 2
Miss any of the exciting action? Check out Part 1 here!
So, Mr. Biscuit had ordered the ring. The next step? Ask my father! I know this is a kind of antiquated ritual, but Mr. B wanted to do it. He also didn't want me to tell anybody. Riiiiiiigggghhhht.
The day we had started looking for rings I told my sister. Oops, messed that one up already, huh?
Truth be told, I was completely bursting and couldn't wait 2 weeks for the ring to come in so I told everyone the good news. Seriously, I should have started wearing a sandwich board around, it would have made it easier on my vocal chords.
