Wedding Roadblocks

A few months ago, I hit a major wedding block.  Basically, my wedding inspiration had been looking like this:

Why?  Well, I think it all stemmed (pardon the pun!) from a meeting with my florist.  Why is she my florist?  My grandmother has known her for years.  What is adjacent to her flower shop?  A cemetery.

Yup, I'm serious.  Anyways, I am not a big flower person, and I have very unconventional ideas.  When I told my florist my ideas she basically laughed in my face.

What else did she do (warning: there are a lot of sentences beginning w/ pronouns coming up!)?:
1.) She visibly winced when I said I was probably going to have a light gold dress.
2.) She made fun of my centerpiece then told me it would be way too expensive.
3.) She tried to talk me into a unity candle.  I DON'T WANT A FLIPPIN' UNITY CANDLE.
4.) She had never heard of some of the flowers I wanted to incorporate into my bouquet.
5.) She belittled my sister's high school (OK, to be fair she didn't realize my sister was currently a student there, but she had to have realized that's where I went to high school).

I left the meeting with a horrible taste in my mouth.  That, along with my apprehensions about my day not being "special" enough, etc. had really worn on me.  Mr. Biscuit has been great, and has offered to go with me to the next meeting as he is better at getting things done than I am.  But I had still been hit with a big case of the wedding blahs.

Did anyone else have issues with overbearing vendors who put you in the wedding blues?  Are you trying to get through a wedding rut?
